Bibliographic Citation: | Bernadetta Paji, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Ratu, Hilarius; 2015-06-23; Genre: Medicine/huru. Bernadetta Paji recorded in the morning, 23 June, sitting on the 'woga' bamboo plattform of Paji's thatched adat house, with grass ('ci'i') reaching all the way to the woga. We were only the two of us, and a cat that kept miaowing. Outdoors condition: I handheld the Zoom and recorded with the internal microphones. This part of the (one) recording is a 'huru', a disease and its cure, that is to cure people with chewed areca nut and piper betel ('ngiru huru'), and other ingredients. This is 'huru bhapha' (huru board), which uses bark from the 'haja' tree. Symptoms: swollen limbs. Paji's 'huru bhapha' uses kencur root and 'moro' (herbal plant, also roots), and a little bark from 'haja'. Applied to the swollen limb. Picture of ingredients.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file II portrait jpeg file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47729. | |
