Bibliographic Citation: | Teresia Nona, Sophune, Pidhu (Ebbe), Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Ratu, Hilarius; 2015-11-01; Genre: Medicine/huru: Teresia Nona, kampong Wolo Habi, desa Maluriwu, tells about her huru, huru dheku heko. 'Dheku heko' is a snail that lives on land and its shell is used in this 'huru'. There are several other recordings of the same 'huru', more or less elaborated and similar, but not same. Teresia Nona uses roots of 'beri', a tree, roots of forest eggplant, home grown cotton, cooked, wettened and then burnt. She chews the ingredients and applies it once in one day, and then the patien – ill ears, pus – becomes well. With adat prayer 'bhulu wao'. Recorded by Ebbe (Pidhu) at Nona's home late in the Sunday afternoon 1 Nov -15 with the AT Lavelier microphone. There is an annoying disturbance, because of touch from c. 25 s to 31 s. Present were also grandchildren (?) Virsen, Belfas and Wera. On the same occasion Nona also told two fairy tales. Portrait.; digital wav file recorded at 44,1 khz/16 bit, eaf file, photo jpeg file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47833. | |
