| Description: | The two sisters explain how their father could feed them during the times they were living in the mountain by hunting and trading part of the catch. They continue explaining (min 5) that the Alta culture is getting lost. Ate Evelen tells the story of when her first husband died and later on she married another man (min 10). We ask Ate Reny to describe the places around Diteki and provide also the names. They first refer to Dibbolowan, the place where they were living and planting coconuts. She says they lived in Dibbolowan until the beginning of the martial law and then they moved to Diteki (min 21). Ate Evelyn explains how the collected orchids in the mountains as a way to make some income (min 35), but she stopped beacause they needed to climb to the highest parts. Later one Ate Evelyn tells a story that happens to her when she was working with rattan and cut her hand. Reny and Evelyn continue explaining hunting and rattan stories from the past. Finally, both sisters are asked about the anito (spirits) of the ancestral domain (min 60), they describe the anito of Magdalenas, another one nearby a waterfall, and the one nearby the little hut on the watershed. | |
