Description:Compilation of the linguistic and socio-linguistic questionnaires, with a map showing the research area and the perceived dialect differences in the Sheko language from the perspective of Guraferda. In general, the Guraferda area is homogenous and despite the mountain massif in the middle people perceive the language as identical. They perceive the lect spoken in Aroge Berhan and Goyta as different but understandable, and the lect spoken in Sheko, called "absi" ('up there') as difficult to understand. The lect from Aroge Berhan appears to be in the middleː people from Aroge Berhan identify their lect as similar to the one spoken in Tepi, and slightly different from the lect spoken in Sheko and Samerta, and dissimilar from other places in Guraferda.
