Description:		The daughter of the secondary school principal was about to be married. Although the principal was not from Hog Harbour, the community 'adopted' the family so that correct protocols and gifting could be done from the bride's family. Community members gathered at the school before the wedding to give her household gifts, all of which were recorded in writing (the giftign establishes an obligation to reciprocate in the future).
