Before this recording starts, PA hesitates as to which language to speak (see 001). PA's Dalabon is a bit hesitant and there are some mistakes. Then PA tells the story of his life, from childhood, in Dalabon. The peanut farm, then Beswick, how is brother got speared by his uncle. How he worked in Beswick in the butchery and then as a stock man. How he now stays in Weemol looking after his relatives and after the place. From 5', MP asks question about PA's brother accident. He dies after being speared in the stomach by PA's uncle. His uncle was in fact aiming at PA's mother, his sister, in order to punish her of some swearing, following the beng-no law. It is not clear whether she had sweared or had been sweared at. After that there was no revenge on the uncle. He ran away in the bush, but was caught by trackers and sent to jail. There is no mention of what would have happened if PA's mother had been hit as per PA's uncle intention. PA confirms the beng-no law, although it is not always clear whether sisters gt punished from swearing or from being sweared at. PA says that it happened every where and that it would still happen today. In the end PA declines retelling some of the details in Dalabon. He expresses concerns about the quality of his Dalabon. | ||
